Inclusivity at WIP

Recently, Work In Progress received a message claiming that our rainbow flag at flying at half-mast is illegal. We’d like to take a moment to point out that this is false. There are no laws restricting what flags can be displayed on private property or how they can or cannot be displayed.

At Work In Progress, one of our core tenets is the strongly held belief that the community we foster is one of inclusivity and respect.  This attempt to intimidate us into removing the rainbow flag is unacceptable—such behavior has no place in our community.  We will continue to fly the rainbow flag as a show of solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community. Attempts to bully or intimidate us will not succeed.

Our community deserves better than this. It is fundamental to our mission in our community that we all treat our neighbors with basic respect and dignity, even—and especially—when we disagree.
